BoD Election 2025

Dear members, friends and supporters of ICACO,

Good morning and Happy Friday. 

Hereby, we would like to inform you and the community about the ICACO's 2025 election of the new Board members. 

This is sent to you for full transparency and to ensure the availability of all information recorded and saved within a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. 

This information was shared with all our registered-paid members a few days ago, and now the exact same information will be shared with you as our friends and supporters as we have in the past 1-2 years established a new culture of full transparency that is required from all 501c-non-profit organizations. This will also be posted on our website as solid and saved documents for references at any time by anyone who might be interested in public records. Thus, below, you will see the date of the original reports/email are from July 22 and July 23rd.

We had a great gathering and we were honored to meet many good friends again. The voting eligible members voted for 7 candidates out of 9 and elected the following new board members:

1) Mrs. Mina Mokhtari,

2) Mr. Behzad Namazi,

3) Mr. Mehrzad Elmi,

4) Mr. Farboud Khatami,

5) Mrs. Fahime Salmani,

6) Mr. Ali Damroodi,

7) Mr. Mahmood (Nader) Shirvani,

With many congrats to the elected Board members, we would like to welcome them on Board. We would also like to thank Mr. Mahmood Nezami and Mr. Mostafa Sharifi for their interest in running as a candidate, and we hope that they stay in touch and support their Association. 

All the Voting Ballots collected in the library (32 ballots) and received via email (5 ballots) were counted and controlled by 3 different members (Mrs. Fariba Ghoorkhanian, Mrs. Firoozeh Rashidi and Mrs. Naazee Shafiee) and the final results were controlled again by Mr. Mohammad Shokouh-Amiri, Mr. Ebrahim Paydar and Dr. Ali Mokhtari for the final approval. All the documents are scanned and attached for your review and record. These will also be posted on the website for the public and transparency.  

Important:

Found: Dear participants in the election: Mr. Mahmood Nezami found a wedding ring in the election room, and kindly delivered it to us. So, if you may have lost a wedding ring, please reply to this email and we can hand it to you. We think it may belong to one of you, so we ask you first. If we do not hear anything from our voters in 3 days, then we will hand it to the Library, as it may belong to other people from other events in that room.

1) The final, approved Voting Results, obtained in the election room (handwritten),

2) The final approved Election Results in an official ICACO Letterhead,

3) A detailed report from the Election day (very important to read for your own information. It is written in Farsi),

4) The mentioned report under item 3, translated to English,

The above and the first 4 attachments are exactly what we shared with our members a few days ago. And for a better knowledge of the community of the new esteemed Board members, we will share their Candidacy Declaration Forms with you, since many are new to Columbus, Ohio and may not be familiar with Association's new Board members. Please read their Candidacy Declaration Forms (all 9 Forms are attached as pdf files) and please welcome the new Board members as they will start their activities as soon as we have transferred all the practical aspects of the current Board. Please
